Effective QA – Is It Really Necessary?

There’s mobile testing, manual testing, test automation, crowd testing, compatibility testing, interoperability testing, integration testing, and usability testing to name but a few.

We’re all surrounded by test houses telling you their way is best. Everyone’s “getting into mobile”, and the companies shouting the loudest are sometimes drowning out the others. So where is this all going? How do we sort the good from the bad; the hype from reality, and create Best Practice in the industry?

The App Quality Alliance (AQuA) is a not-for-profit association helping organizations further-improve the quality of their apps. AQuA has been around since 2004, is run by industry professionals, and is led and funded by industry players. What is AQuA’s view of QA in the world of mobile apps, how is it rewarding the “best of the best” and how can you benefit from the information freely available from the association?
